Ilhapeixe – Sociedade de Peixe da Ilha, S.A, respects the privacy of its website and other subdomains users, and is committed to protect the personal information that its users choose to share. Some sections of our website can be browsed without any disclosure of personal information by the user.

Ilhapeixe is the only responsible for your personal data treatment, when it reaches us through submission of forms provided by us via our website.

Your personal information will be collected and treated on the following situations: when filling and submitting you personal data on the online forms that we provide on our website.

  • For what purposes and on what basis can your personal data be used

Your personal data will be collected and used to answer information requests and/or eventual complaints, according to the conditions selected by you on the consent form. Under the data protection legislation for the European Union (the general data protection), the use of personal data must be justified under at least one legal basis for the processing of personal data. The legal basis applied to the collection and treatment of your personal data for customer service and marketing is your consent. In order to that, you will be presented with a consent form for the use of your data, which may later be withdrawn. In customer data management, the personal data collected may be transmitted to third parties that are freight transport companies with the sole and exclusive purpose of performing and executing the services or delivering the products purchased by the user, detainer of the collected personal data.

For the purposes described in our privacy policy (customer service and marketing) your personal data will be kept for a maximum period of 5 years, from the date of collection of your consent, or the last contact made with us (whichever occurs last) and if, within this period, you have not withdrawn your consent.

You have the right to receive, for free, information about the data that was kept about you and, if applied, the right to correct, block or delete that data. After the withdrawal of your consent, you will cease to be contacted or receive communication about matters already described on this privacy policy. Ilhapeixe guarantees data security through appropriate physical and electronic procedures. Whenever confidential data is submitted, we use encryption protocols to increase the security of the process. Without prejudice to this guarantee, we cannot guarantee the security of the information transmitted to you, so the data owner must take all the precautions to protect their personal data while using the internet, including frequently changing passwords, and using a browser that allows the use of SSL communication.

What’s a cookie?

It is a file that’s imported to your pc, or other device, when you enter into some webpages and it allows the collecting of information about your web navigation.
