The Tuna Route Festival returns to Porto Santo this month!
From June 4th to 7th, 2025, the island of Porto Santo will once again host the much-anticipated Tuna Route Festival – a gastronomic and cultural event that celebrates one of the most iconic species found in Madeiran waters: the tuna.
Organised by Vila Baleira Resort, this festival has become a staple in the region’s annual calendar, attracting food enthusiasts, those curious about the local fishing heritage, and everyone eager to discover the authentic flavours of our coastline.
Over the course of four days, visitors will have the chance to take part in cooking workshops led by guest chefs, where tuna takes centre stage. Each session combines hands-on learning with tastings that highlight the versatility and richness of this prized fish. The event will also feature themed dinners, with specially curated menus that pay tribute to tuna through both traditional and contemporary culinary approaches.
